The polygonal version of the bellows may be used for horizontal and vertical as well as for mixed forms. Depending on the space available, the bellows can be produced in hexagonal, octagonal or bihexagonal form.
The main advantages of dimensional stability and flexibility are achieved through alternate folding, permitting more lightweight construction.
